Both options are available. CKEditor 5 provides Word and PDF import/export converters in two deployment options:
- Cloud (SaaS) – CKSource hosts the service for you.
- On-Premises – run the converters on your own infrastructure using Docker containers, giving you full control over data privacy and compliance.
The on-premises version offers the same conversion capabilities as the cloud service, but without sending any documents outside your environment.
