CKEditor 5 supports inserting content from Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and preserving its original structure and formatting.
It can be achieved through the Paste from Office feature that is available in two versions:
- The basic, open-source Paste from Office feature that allows to copy and paste Microsoft Office documents into CKEditor 5 and maintain basic text styling, heading levels, links, lists, tables, and images.
- The advanced, premium Paste from Office enhanced feature that retains rich content pasted from Microsoft Office applications. It is a premium feature that is available as a part of the Productivity Pack.
You can read about the differences between these two features in the documentation.
If you need to quickly convert large documents into HTML, and edit them later with CKEditor (or any other editor), you can use Import from Word that preserves 99% of the Word styling. Import from Word is a highly scalable service that is available as SaaS and as an On-Premises solution.

Paste from Office Enhanced and Import from Word are premium features that can be tested through the 30-day free trial.
